Asbestos management is an essential requirement of any company with a property portfolio containing older properties.

The ICON solution offers an integrated approach to Asbestos Management. The system provides the facilities to:

• Store and update asbestos survey data

• Generate Risk Assessments based on the requirements of MDHS100 and HSG227

• Generate an asbestos management plan

• Report across entire property portfolio, by region, by property type, by risk

• Manage ongoing surveys and planned asbestos maintenance within one system

Document management

Together with survey data, the system also allows associated documentation to be uploaded. This means that key documentation can be found quickly and easily, such as:

• Floor plans

• Survey photographs

• Sample analysis records

• Clearance certificates

Related Policy documentation

Policy, procedures, guidelines and other information about asbestos, its dangers and risks, different types of asbestos and example photographs to help the user to manage asbestos can be stored in a logical place. The knowledge base could contain the company’s own policy on asbestos, the HSE guidelines etc.

Permissions

Administrators can set up groups of users with permission to access, read and edit data. Set up correctly, the system can be run so that a small group of internal personnel maintains user access and a large group of external personnel can access the data on a read-only or ‘need to know’ basis.

Audit trails

As with all information added to the system, a full audit trail is stored; detailing when and by whom, information was entered or edited.
