Overview These images and animations were used as a tool to sell the retail space associated with a new cinema complex in Oldbury, Manchester. The client flew a number of potential occupiers out to Spain for a 'sales weekend' where they visited an existing AMC cinema complex in Madrid. One of ICON's employees also flew out to Madrid with the presentation on a laptop computer. This was connected to the cinema's projection and sound system so that the animation, sound and images could be viewed on the cinema screen at probably the largest size we will ever see any of our images! Animations Animations on the ICON website used to be in RealPlayer 8 format. We now have our own Windows Media Server and are in the process of moving all our animations from RealPlayer to Windows Media - as a result you may find that some of the links on this page do not work. When you click a movie link, a separate window opens containing the 'real' logo in the centre and a control bar at the bottom. A green status bar will also appear giving 'Buffering' information. The time shown on the status bar is intended to equate to how long it will be before the video will start. All movies are set to 'stream' from the Internet, meaning that the first part of the movie will start playing whilst the subsequent part are being downloaded. The faster your Internet connection the better quality the movies will appear. You are able to pause and re-start the movie using the buttons on the control bar. Also, by right-clicking on the movie you are able to view it at full-screen resolution. As the movies are rather small the visual quality at full-screen will be poor. |
