Press Release, July 2008 ICON commended at European Retail Solutions Awards 2008 ICON, the developer of a unique construction information management system, has been commended in the “Best Use of B2B Internet Technology” category at the European Retail Solutions Awards held at Old Billingsgate Market in London. This is one of the most important dates in the retail technology calendar, with over 700 key industry figures gathering to celebrate winners that have been chosen by some of the biggest names in retailing. ICON, based in Market Harborough, was commended on its system, which is used by Waitrose and other large names in the retailing industry. The ICON System, a web-based construction information management tool, was implemented into Waitrose to assist with the communication and sharing of building design specifications and information. The system has enabled those at Waitrose to have better control over all specification data, ensuring it is current and correct.
