The ICON System

The ICON System is a web-based Construction Industry Information Management system.

Designed in conjunction with Specification and Project Managers, the system has been in development for over five years. It has been proven as a valuable tool for Facilities Managers, Architects, Surveyors, Cost Consultants and Specifiers who are responsible for developing and maintaining multiple sites or projects.

The system is used for activities such as Communicating Design Standards to the project team, assisting with Project Collaboration, tracking Project Dates Facts & Figures, managing the Health & Safety File, scoring performance via KPIs and dealing with the Facilities Management issues that go with a property portfolio such as managing Asbestos.

System Modules

The system consists of two integral parts; the first handles information and data for the Design and Specification of buildings. The second deals with specific areas related to the Construction Process and on-going Property Management.

ICON Service

The system is supported by ICON’s unique service to assist customers in its implementation and ongoing use.

SaaS

The system is distributed on a ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) basis. This is a recognised software delivery method that provides clients with access to the web-based application via the Internet. The service is charged for on a monthly subscription basis.

Organisations therefore do not need to invest in additional hardware, software or install any additional programs on PCs or laptops SaaS removes the need for organisations to handle the installation, set-up and daily maintenance often associated with other systems.
